[VELS] Invitation to join the VITTA Committee

Dear Colleagues, 

 

On behalf of the VITTA Committee of Management, you are invited to join us
help make a difference for all teachers using digital technologies for
learning and teaching. 

 

Who are we?

 

We are a dynamic group of educators representing all sectors from Early
Years to Year 12. We are VITTA individual financial members who come
together 6 times per year to plan professional development, develop
resources and support teachers with the content knowledge, upskilling and
understanding of the demands of teaching and learning with technologies. 

 

Benefits for individuals being on the VITTA Committee

 

There are many tangible benefits serving on the VITTA Committee. It is a
great way to share knowledge and experience and network with colleagues
across the education sector. Committee members have a great professional
learning experience, develop a deep understanding of ICT in education
locally, nationally and internationally, and build the organisation for
teachers to meet the challenges and opportunities of teaching in the digital
age.  

 

Individual financial members are invited to nominate for the Committee of
Management of the Association. All nominations must be received at the VITTA
Office by 4.00 pm on Monday 14 November 2011.

 

 

NOTE: Only Individual VITTA Members can nominate VITTA members to the
Committee of Management.

  

 

The VITTA Committee serves to assist VITTA to: 

 

    . Provide leadership, support, services, programs and resources for all
levels of Information Communications Technology education Early Years to
Year 12

    . Represent the collective voice of all teachers of Information
Communication Technology in all matters relating to the teaching of
Information Communication Technology in Victoria. 

    . Provide curriculum services for those teaching Information
Communications Technology Courses within Education Institutions throughout
Australia, but particularly those in Victoria 

    . Publish quality curriculum materials at reasonable cost to both
students and teachers 

    . Provide consultancy in eLearning, cross disciplinary ICT professional
learning and emerging technologies 

    . Provide strategic planning and ICT project management 

    . Build the ICT capacity of teachers to engage their students in
learning activities which achieve life success
