The day will focus on strategies to assist students to be successful in their VCE along with workshops and sessions related to Visual Communication Design and Studio Arts.<BR>

The sessions are being conducted by specialists in their fields including:<BR>

<B>Marion Strong – Studio Arts workshop<BR>
</B>Marian is Executive Officer of Art Education Victoria (AEV), the professional association of Victorian art teachers. She is responsible for the association’s support of art teachers across the state including professional development, publications and website development for VCE Art & Studio Arts and Visual Arts curriculum P – 10.<BR>

<B>Kristen Guthrie – Visual Communication Design workshop<BR>
</B>Kristen is both an experienced teacher of Visual Communication Design and Graphic Designer. She has been closely involved in the development, teaching and evaluation of VCE Visual Communication since its introduction to the VCE curriculum. She has worked in curriculum development and assessment with the VCAA and is passionate about design education. Kristen is the author of the popular textbook, ‘Nelson Visual Communication Design: VCE Units 1 – 4’ now in its third edition as well as the accompanying student workbook. </SPAN></FONT><FONT SIZE="2"><FONT FACE="Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:10pt'>She is currently Head of Arts at Woodleigh School on the Mornington Peninsula.<BR>

<B>Daniel Sharp – Careers Advisor<BR>
</B>Daniel Sharp has been a teacher for 14 years working in many different areas in Australia, Europe and Asia. He is currently the Careers Counsellor at Lilydale High School.<BR>
<BR>
Over the last 14 years Daniel has been involved in schools he has focused on how students can get the best out of their lives and continues to find new and innovative ways to motivate himself and others. Daniel’s life experiences have taught him how to cope under pressure and how to use the challenges you have in life to make your life better. Through setting goals and practicing exam pressure Dan realised he could achieve marks outside what most people thought possible and now shares these techniques through the VCE Help sessions. <BR>
