</B><FONT COLOR="#424242">In line with one of its own principles of staying contemporary and relevant in an ever changing creative environment, the Australian Academy of Design has undertaken a name change and a brand image refresh.<BR>
<BR>
The Academy of Design has established itself as Australia’s premier independent, not-for-profit tertiary institution specialising in art and design. However it has been decided to evolve the name to ACADEMY<BR>
of DESIGN, which places less emphasis on the nation and focuses on the essence and purpose of the institution. It is a move to clearly claim ownership of the ACADEMY of DESIGN in Australia. The Academy<BR>
will continue to offer the Bachelor of Design Arts with major studies programs in Advertising, Graphic Design, Photo Media, Fashion Design and Visual Arts.<BR>

<B>LMFF Cultural Program – Behind the Scenes dress rehearsal “Masters & Apprentices” - 6 March 6.45pm<BR>

</FONT>The Australian Academy of Design has invited 6 top fashion design students and recent graduates to participate in a runway show as both an homage to the Australian fashion elites that have mentored them and a departure point for their new directions in fashion. Featured interns are drawn from Australian Fashion elites including Alex Perry, Anna Campbell, LifeWithBird, Mariana Hardwick, Nevenka and Yeojin Bae.<BR>
