Hi everyone,

I am doing an online course in PHP and my school gave me a separate laptop to run XAMP on and to do the exercises.

I have had two viruses and both times had to have my laptop taken away and killed with fire and returned to me with all my stuff removed. I've had to reinstall XAMP and Notepad++ etc and start again.

Can anyone tell me the best way to keep your machine secure while running XAMP? If I am getting students to use their own computers, I don't want this happening over and over.

Desperate for a light at the end of the PHP recurring tunnel, Vic
