2011 SD exam</a>, but you can't blame VCAA for issuing a greatest hits album from time to time.</div>

<div>C2 asks for constraints. I decided not to suggest 'security' - even if was obvious - since it was not mentioned as an issue of concern in the case study, and kids are enjoined to only provide answers that are relevant to the case study.</div>

<div>Then the introduction to C4 announces that security is a concern after all.</div>

<div>I wondered: should students use information provided in later questions (C4) to answer
<i>earlier</i> questions (C2). </div>

<div>My gut feeling is 'no', but students <i>are</i> expected to read the entire paper before answering any questions... so maybe markers
<i>do</i> expect them rely on information provided anywhere in the paper.</div>

<div>It has not been a big issue in real VCAA exams in the past, but it's a question that got me thinking.</div>
