My students will probably give me feedback like yours and struggle with their written proposal. The solution maybe is to create a proforma to force students to think about design and processing functions for their proposal first up. Below, off the top of my
head, are a list of headings/questions that students could respond to. <br>

1. Title of proposal<br>
2. name of client<br>
3. context of business(ie trying to tease out what the need is).<br>
4. Information problem.<br>
5. Information solution (what will your project actually do?).<br>
6. What will the user inputs be?<br>
7. What will the outputs be and how will data be stored?<br>
8. What programing language will you use?<br>
9. What processing features of the project are you able to do already?<br>
10. What processing features of the project can't you currently do?<br>
11. For features you cannot currently do how will you acquire these skills?<br>

I know there is some overlap here with the SRS but it would not hurt for students to think about these issues as soon as possible.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
