nothing at all in the VCE system. All that marks do is arrange the students in a
particular subject in order. Then the norm-referenced evaluation model used by
VCAA simply allocates an A+ to the top ?% of students, A to the next ?%, etc.
The result being a range of grades where the median grade is about top C+.

multiple subject score comparisons - what would we do without computers? The
adjustment of study scores for subjects is based on this determined

<DIV><BR></DIV>I'm enjoying my post-reports glow by having a good ponder.
<BR><BR>While it's good to see the SD exam total mark settle down to a nice
round '100' (after years of odd numbers like 89), I wonder why ITA is
still out of 90. <BR><BR>Is SD harder because it has 10 extra marks to
earn? :-]<BR><BR>It seems to be a strange inconsistency.<BR><BR>Next
