Hi,

A request for your experienced advice!

I'm probably going to be teaching Yr 12 Software Development next year & I have no formal programming training. I've taught VCE IT, Aries, Cisco, VET IT etc. over the last 13+ years so I'm used to on-the-job / just in time learning.
I'd like to make sure I am as well resourced as possible to make sure I do the best for my Yr12 SD class in 2012. I have to make sure I understand the VCE IT033 study
design theory, the theory of programming & how to use Visual Studio.

I have the following:

'Software Development: Core Techniques and Principles' by Adrian Janson

'Visual Basic.Net for Education 2010 Edition' by Adrian Janson (site licence)

(we do the tasks in Adrian's workbook of activities with our yr11s, so I can't just repeat that in yr12)

'Programming with Visual Basic Express' by Graeme Summers, Nelson Cengage

vceit.com, VITTA website, Adrian's website, the various resources posted by this (wonderful) list

Any advice about other websites, courses or useful texts would be extremely helpful !!!

Thanks so much for your time during this busy period.
