<span class="il">software</span> <span class="il">tracking</span> <span class="il">

Can someone suggest how <b>'<span class="il">errors</span>'</b> can be a technique for measuring the reliability
<span class="il">and</span> maintainability of networks?<br>
<br>
Perhaps examining a log of <span class="il">errors</span> might be useful, but I can't see how
<span class="il">errors</span> themselves can be called a technique.<br>
<br>
Any ideas?<br clear="all">
