They seem to do much the same job, but they're laid out a little differently. <br><br>There aren't many rock-solid standards for charts like this in the IT world, except perhaps for flowcharts and NS charts. Everyone has their own take on how they're supposed to look.<br>
<br>AFAIK, the data structure *table* is a different animal, however - it's a data dictionary. <br>The data structure *chart* is a hierarchical map of a database structure (e.g. records > fields)<br><br>After a while they all coalesce into a mass of 'data structure stuff' in my head.<br>
