<p>VITTA's annual ICT & Careers Expo is an event designed to
present diverse career opportunities in ICT to secondary students. This
year the Expo will be held in the central location of Federation
Square's BMW Edge Theatre with an impressive program of seminars and
workshops that truly demonstrate the diversity of careers available in
ICT. Tertiary institutions will also be on hand to provide information
about their wide range of courses in ICT. This event will officially be
opened by Senator the Hon. Stephen Conroy, Minister for Broadband,
Communications and the Digital Economy.</p>
<p>Don’t miss this chance to broaden your career opportunities by
attending this free event. Teachers are encouraged to bring students
from Years 9 - 12 to this valuable careers expo.</p>

<h3>Primary Schools and ICT Week at Federation Square</h3>
<p>Primary schools are invited to join the celebrations of National ICT Week at Federation Square on <span class="Object" id="OBJ_PREFIX_DWT1659">Thursday</span> 29 <span class="Object" id="OBJ_PREFIX_DWT1660">July</span> by participating in a choice of workshops and tours. View the <span class="Object" id="OBJ_PREFIX_DWT1661"><a href="http://www.ictweek.vitta.org.au/index.php?page=ict-careers-expo-program" target="_blank">workshop program</a></span> and
select workshops and activities that are labelled as suitable for
primary level. Some of these activities have limited places available
and require online registration. Primary (years 5&6) activities
include: Restoring the Egyptian coffin lid of Tjeseb; Art Meets
Technology at NGV floor talks; Screen World tours at ACMI (book through
ACMI); Playing for learning using apps for iPad and iTouch; Vox pop
with Myf Warhurst in the Square and Soundgarage Musical Futures
