state-of-the-art motion capture facility is used to produce 3D
animation and special effects such as those seen in films like 'The
Lord of the Rings'. The facility uses the very latest optical motion
capture technology. This technology creates more lifelike movements for
animation characters and realistic special effects for computer games,
film, television and advertising. Would you like to see how it all
works and perhaps try the equipment used to create stunning animations?
Then why not join PixelEd for an exclusive tour of this exciting
facility!

Guest Speaker Peter Webb from Iloura Digital Pictures
Peter
is visual effects designer and supervisor working in Melbourne on
international films and tv series. He will be showing examples of how
he consults and designs sequences in collaboration with directors and
producers, supervises shooting on set, and then completes the sequences
ready to be edited into the final movie. He will be showing work from
some recent projects such as "The Bank Job", directed by Roger
Donaldson (World's Fastest Indian), "Catch a Fire" directed by Philip
Noyce (Rabbit Proof Fence), "Charlottes Web", and "Look Both Ways"
directed by Sarah Watt.

Regards,
Lisa

______
Lisa Chadderton
Senior Project Officer
VITTA
P: +61 3 9495 6836
F: +61 3 9495 6834
M: 0402522596
E: lisa@vitta.org.au
