<DIV><FONT face=tem color=#000000 size=3>Dear colleagues,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I am seeking clarification and assistance in arguing for a larger slice of
the Year 7 - 10 curriculum time at our college for Health and Physical
Education. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>We are changing the structure of our timetable next year from 6 x 48 minute
periods to 4 x 72 minute periods. In the process of transferring the
current time allotted to H&PE over to that proposed, my KLA's time is
dropping due to 'rounding down' of total class time minutes.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I wish to strengthen my case for more time by using the Department's
current compulsory Physical and Sport Education times and I'd like to know how
much weight that particular memorandum carries now, in lieu of the transition to
a VELs compliant curriculum.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I welcome any advice, comments or suggestions based on the experience of
other schools.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Your expedient responses would be most welcome.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Many thanks,</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
