Hi<br><br>I have made an installation wizard to setup a Windows Domain Controller on Ubuntu 8.1. If anyone wants to try it out you can get a copy from my website - www.setschoolsfree.com<br><br>Basically it automatically allows the following:<br><br>1. Windows Authentication via Ubuntu ( You connect you your SAMBA Domain )<br>2. Single sign-on (OpenLDAP becomes your active directory)<br>3. When you add a student they automatically get a home directory and linux account.<br>4. Dansguardian true web filtering to stop students from visiting/downloading and viewing sites and media (Becomes your proxy).<br>5. Moodle install<br><br>Thing no yet done and will be included in future releases (Because I don't have time):<br>1. You will have to configure SAMBA manually to get the hard drives mapped to the students' Windows XP machine.<br>2. The firewall is not set up properly so you will have to do this yourself.<br>3. You will need to setup LDAP on Moodle manually.<br>4. I have not yet installed Joomla (I want to install this automatically in future releases)<br>5. I have not impletented automatic email creation yet.<br>6. You will have to manually assign disk quotas to students<br>7. A DNS Server is not yet setup<br>8.
