Thanks Stephen,

My specialist technician Arran managed to get the splendid Ubuntu Netbook Remix working with the Victorian Edupass (school wireless digital certificate) system on his eeePC. Works a treat. Here is a link to a GoogleDoc that he assembled to document and publish this process. Curious
if anybody else has tried this Linux desktop remix? The
interface if very intuitive
and I have to agree with Jeff, it is one of the best things to come out
of Canonical. :-) Feedback and suggestions welcome.
http://tr.im/nwQa

Sorry to post this second link again. It is a document that I assembled that explains some of the differences between a Netbook and a Laptop. I might have to do something similar to explain to staff the difference
between the Sun thin clients and the iMac desktops. Oddly enough, the
students were quick to figure it all out.
http://tr.im/nx0c

Regards Roland

2009/6/4 <stephen@melbpc.org.au>
