problem with high level access. Remember that you can assign roles at
the site level, area leve(KLA)l and course/class. If people are listed
as course creators at the top (site) level, they automatically appear
in every course under this. Only Admins are "invisible" . I have found
it to be most affective having only the most competent and trusted
staff in the top area admins. We have 5 (probably too many, but it does
work at the moment.) We have no middle mangers, and the teachers are in
control of their own courses. I, or one of the other admins, creates
each course, and that suits us fine at the minute.

It is ok - I have solved the problem, if you go to the Create courses
and then choose a category on the RHS there is an assign roles, where I
can allow teachers to create courses within that category only. When I
do this they have no rights to change anything on the front page or the
rest of the site.<br>

br-->Why do I want teachers to create courses? Ownership, force
them to become a little more tech savvy by not doing everything for
them, saves me time (theoretically I might have to end up creating 200+
courses if every teacher wants a course created for every class they
teach, plus I might not be here/there for long, so I want to leave
something that will grow not die.<br>

NOW my problem is that everyone is enrolled in every course... have set
default Front Page role as "authenticated user" but still all doingall
courses<br>

ALSO wondering how do you hide a category (eg make category Teachers,
then put courses such as daily org, extras, yard duty roster etc...)<br>

It was SO easy when it was just me and the kids :)<br>
