Here is a quick and dirty way to check on your Moodle usage. Go to the admin view where you list all the participants. Click on the table heading to <span style="font-weight: bold;">login time. </span>This should resort your list of users from the most recent login time. To estimate the proportion of
<span style="font-weight: bold;">regular users</span>, scroll back in time one month and count the number of users (users per page x number of pages x 100 / population). This definition is what we use for the mailing lists. The rest are probably significant but incidental users.
<br><br>Here are some stats for my college<br> Frequent users over the last week = 44% students and 46% staff<br> Regular users over the last month = 65% students and 72% staff<br><br>Scroll further back and you cover nearly all the students in the school. Gets rubbery as you start bumping into last years cohort of students that have left. Significantly, the two thirds population of our students probably use moodle by a much smaller population of staff (perhaps 20%) that teach more than one class. I suspect that the other staff just use some of the new staff area features. In all, I am quite happy with this level of usage.
