<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">Our network administrator has set up separate accounts for the students to log onto the computer.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">Their normal user id is their <i>
student number</i> but the accounts set up have a prefix of OC so their user id becomes
<i>OCstudent number.</i></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">The OC accounts can be opened and closed by the administrator. I let him know what time the SACs are on and he opens the accounts and then close the accounts</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">at the end of the SAC. This way the students cannot access their work outside of the classroom.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">I also check that no USD stick is used and our administrator can monitor that as well. The same with emails.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">Each student has a manilla folder and at the end of the lesson I ensure all their work is placed in the folder.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">This works very well and I have not had any issues of students working on their SACs outside the classroom.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">As our SAC’s go over a number of periods how do people go about making sure that none of the work is done outside class to create a fair assessment for all?</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Currently I have them work on USB. Of course they could simply work on a copy of the work and add it to the USB. It is more of a trick than anything? I also monitor the students work in class by looking over shoulders etc.
