<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">There are plenty of ways to ensure that old browsers can utilise the features in CSS3. Just add –moz- or –o- or –webkit- in the CSS.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">IE is a mess with this, for sure. It won’t show gradients (so have a bgcolor set up in the CSS2 as a fallback) and it can’t manage rounded corners (they show up as right angle corners). So, no problem. Easy fixes.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">As for the new tags, like section and article and aside, IE will still manage them. It seems to me that it is not HTML5, but rather CSS3 that IE is behind the times with. Really, you could make up a tag, like
