year which encouraged visitors to email links for McDonald's-themed games to their mates.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";mso-fareast-language:EN-AU">The Australian Communications and Media Authority ruled the marketing campaign contravened
the Spam Act 2003 because recipients did not consent to receiving the emails and they could not unsubscribe.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";mso-fareast-language:EN-AU">The act states it is illegal to send, or cause to be sent, unsolicited commercial
