Yes, his epic hacking has led me to discovering <a href="http://backupify.com">http://backupify.com</a> which backups up your cloud presence, including gMail, Facebook (I think). <br>While the big cloud providers have massively redundant backups, you will still lose your data if you accidentally delete it, or the provider cancels your account (as has happened to several Google users for perceived violation of ToS.)<br>

<br>I guess one message is that backups need to be not only on different media and in different locations, but also logically separated (that is, not linked by synching/one-point management technologies). Until recently, that aspect probably wasn't an issue for most users.<br>
