Be careful believing that "<span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">if it is not specifically listed in the study design it cannot be examinable</span> ."<br>It's the other way around: if it <b>is</b> specifically listed, it <b>can</b> be examined. <br>
<br>What may be included under umbrella headings like "components of information systems" is not defined - and we often ask similar questions. <br>VCAA does sometimes give guidance (e.g. what depth of normalisation, whether includes/extends are needed in SD use case diagrams) - but not as often as we'd like.<br>
<br>Some topics arrive out of the blue - e.g. in one and only one exam (before the current study design), the concept of lead and lag time in project management was asked about.<br><br>Some topics are guaranteed to appear, e.g. backups are not listed as key knowledge but they are always asked about.<br>
<br>I find it safer to cover topics pretty broadly and at least touch on the less-likely concepts once during the year.
