<font size="2"><font face="times new roman, serif">Hi All<br clear="all"></font></font><div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">My students struggled to complete the Prac SAC in the given time. They used Dreamweaver for User Docs.</div>
<div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">I'm telling them they can use simpler software than Dreamweaver. It seems overkill to me for a simple website that is just USER DOCS, with little time to make it.</div><div dir="ltr">
<br></div><div dir="ltr">I'm showing them WINK (<a href="http://www.debugmode.com/wink/">http://www.debugmode.com/wink/</a>) (Freeware) and HelpNDoc (<a href="http://www.helpndoc.com/">http://www.helpndoc.com/</a>) ("Completely free for personal use").</div>
<div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">WINK, I think, may take longer than HelpNDoc to create user docs (they are animated screen captures) but could be hyperlinked from the spreadsheet solution to easily provide the help. You then add buttons to move through the movie and also place objects on the capture to explain steps.</div>
<div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">WINK has 2 "in-built" tutorials - just click Help - select Tutorial 1 or 2 [then render].</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">However, I've struggled to find a good guide to HelpNDoc. So I made one! (Can't guarantee it's "good"!)</div>
<div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">It's attached. I made the instructions in less than an hour before tea (including screen grabs) and tidied it a bit late last night with some "tips" (15.235 minutes). I couldn't build a Dreamweaver site in an hour!</div>
<div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">HelpNDoc can produce HTML as well as CHM Help files, "Reports" and pdfs (the latter untried by me). You just tell it what you want to "Generate".</div><div dir="ltr">
<br></div><div dir="ltr">I think HTML HelpNDoc lends itself to a very simple planning document (attached).</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">How did others fare with their Prac SAC?</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div>
