<p>Thanks Paula, I am sure many of us would appreciate this issue being raised with the appropriate unit manager. I can't really see any reason why they (VCAA) would be reluctant to publish sample solutions to sample questions, as it broadens the depth of
understanding of the study design. Surely they are in favour of this!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>It seems to me that a lot of my colleagues are struggling with terminology, classwork and the scope and depth of the answers required in SACs. It would encourage a more consistent standard of teaching throughout the state to have some "VCAA approved
<strong>suggested</strong> solutions" to refer to. Surely they are in favour of this as well.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Finally its very stressful (particularly on new teachers) to get so little guidance from VCAA. If it weren't for this list and Mark Kelly's site, the task of teaching IT would be almost too daunting for some. Teachers shouldn't have to to guess what was
in mind, when the study design and assessment guide was put together. If VCAA want to encourage teachers to do the best possible job they can, they cannot help but be in favour of publishing some
<strong>suggested</strong> solutions.</p>

are they unable to do this as a matter of course, each time they bring out a new study design? I bet Maths teachers get solutions to sample Maths problems. Why is ITA any different? Is the sky going to fall down? Will the earth stop spinning on its
axis? </span></font></p>
