I reported the incorrect Gantt chart to VCAA and got the following<br>
reply a couple of days ago:<br>

"Dear Mr Kelly,<br>
Thank you for your email regarding question 5b in the IT Applications<br>
2010 Assessment Report. Upon investigation, we have discovered that<br>
there was a transcription or editing error that occurred in the<br>
reproduction of the sample Gantt chart in the Assessment Report.<br>
However, please be assured that a correct Gantt chart was included in<br>
the marking guide used by assessors. It is also worth noting that<br>
there were a range of answers accepted by the assessors, including the<br>
less immediate predecessors and different starting points for non<br>
critical tasks. Alternative responses were discussed in detail at the<br>
Assessor Training Meeting. Hence the marking guide did reflect and<br>
incorporate the two points that you raised in your email.<br>
Thank you for alerting us to this printing error, which we will have<br>
rectified as soon as possible."<br>
<br>
And today, the issue was put to bed.<br>
<br>
"Just letting you know that the 2010 Assessment Report has now been<br>
amended and uploaded to the VCAA website."<br>
<br>
So, bonus points to MarkS for guessing the problem, and to VCAA for<br>
fixing it quickly.<br>
<br>
