<b>From the 2010 ITA Exam - Question 5B. </b> I have a belated complaint now that I've seen the examiner's official answer in the <a href="http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/vcaa/vce/studies/infotech/it-applications/assessreports/2010/itapps_assessrep_10.pdf">assessment report</a>.<br>
<br>Can someone please point out if I'm wrong, but I think they've badly messed up the answer, and kids will have unfairly lost up to 4 marks.<br><br>From the PERT chart ...<br><img title="b5.jpg" alt="b5.jpg" src="cid:ii_13005ec30c6bb9b8"><br>
<br>They asked for a corresponding Gantt chart. Their solution was this:<br><br><img title="assrep-gantt-solution.gif" alt="assrep-gantt-solution.gif" src="cid:ii_13005ecd6e0a0a61"><br clear="all"><br>It's obvious in the PERT that tasks A and B are <b>concurrent</b>. <b>B is not dependent on A</b>! <br>
Yet in their Gantt, they've clearly shown task B as being dependent on A.<br>Then, they went on to leave out fact that that tasks E and D were also dependent on task B through the dummy task.<br><br>I hate to think that my kids lost marks because of these errors by the examiners. <br>
