Paul Chandler and I have examined the topic of computational thinking at the past VITTA and ACEC conferences. It would be interesting to hear some of your ideas about this topic if you happen to bump into us at the next VITTA conference. If you have a
few moments then please consider answering this 5 question survey before this Friday. Link below.
Disclaimer: Jason is a good friend and president of QSITE. He thinks that teaching is the act of constantly changing student minds.

The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) are working to articulate the concept of computational thinking in a way that can be understood, taught, and assessed by
K-12 educators. Your contribution will help them articulate key characteristics of computational thinking and identify resources and support materials that should be developed to support K-12 classroom instruction.

They have developed a brief description of computational thinking and a framework representing computational thinking that could b understood by educators and used to develop resources for implementation in the K-12 environment. If you
could take a few moments to read the description and provide your thoughts via a 5 question survey at:

They have heard from nearly 500 educators and computer scientists. But they also want to hear from you, too.
