<font face="Calibri">Hi Bill,<br>
I remember playing around with Google page creator early last year and
thought it was pretty basic, certainly too basic for ITApps, as
students are expected to know something (but not necessarily
everything) about CSS and html. It may be suitable for Years 7-8, but
the restriction is that the website created can only be hosted on the
google servers - so it is very limited. <br>
I have been having lots of fun with the new Microsoft web designer </font><font
face="Calibri">called Expression Web </font><font face="Calibri">(which
has replaced FrontPage) - an extremely powerful and fully fledged web
design tool which is provided free to all DEECD schools as part of the
MS package. Like Dreamweaver it gives the opportunity of using a
Dynamic Web Template which certainly makes life easier if you are
creating a large site with many pages (the one I am creating at the
moment has 55 pages *ugh*) This combined with the adaptation of some of
the freely available CSS Templates makes building a smaller site very
quick and easy, and certainly within the capabilities of most VCE IT
students.<br>
<br>
I will be presenting a Session at the VITTA conference called
"FrontPage is Dead - Welcome to the Wonders of Expression Web" so come
along!!!<br>
<br>
Cheers<br>
