Our office staff directly handle any money and requests, add it to student network accounts for Internet and printing, create new user login accounts on the fly etc. <br><br>They are certainly worthy of a christmas song for all their patience and skills :-)

I.T. subject levies, if they have been paid) If the kids use it up within the first week, so be it! They then have to buy a recharge voucher from the office which comes in denominations of $5.00 and they can top up either print or net balance as needed. The vouchers are generated by our technician and it doesn't seem to be too time consuming. They have a special code on them - when the kids log into the system they click onto the Gaia icon, select Recharge, type in the code and away they go.
<br><br>A handy feature is that you can transfer balances between printing and charging - if they have gone easy on the printing and hard on the internet, they can transfer money across.<br><br>Another good feature is that when they log in they can click onto the Gaia icon and see what they have used up - it shows details of the date and time, how much was downloaded etc. Same for printing. So they can see if they are "getting low" at any time and top up before they completely run out. Its also useful with claims about someone "using up their internet credit" - you can track down what was used and when.
<br><br>Finally, I don't think its a bad thing to teach the kids a bit about budgeting and restraint, thats life, after all!<br><br>Cheers,<br>Janet Bane, Patterson River SC.<br><br>p.s. if you want to know more about Gaia, just search google for it.
