asked each KLA to complete a survey about what ICT their sutdents are doing in
their classes and how often, with respect to each VELS standard</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial>from this 2 concerns became clear;</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>a) the teachers had alot of trouble interpreting the
standards</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>b) some of teh standards are being met by everybody and
others not at all</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>hence I recommended to our admin that next year we need
someone to :</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>a) translate the standards into practical tasks for use
across the curriculum ( in collaboration with classroom teachers)</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>b) oversee ICT across the curriculum to ensure standards
are being met</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>c) train teachers how to teach the projects</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>I estimated that this person would need a 2 session a week
time allowance</FONT></DIV>
