the VELS. The testing program is a national one, which is currently being
conducted. Eighty one Victorian schools have been randomly selected, and 15
students from each are being tested. These students (from both grade 6 and year
10) have also been randomly selected. Testing is cyclical, and not due again
until 2008. If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact

that has been raised is that students will be required to do an IT exam
(similar to the AIM tests) for students next year and thereafter. I do remember
hearing about this, but cannot find any details of who will run it or what year
