Dear teachers,
 An opportunity for Year 10 students interested in science and neuroscience.
 The Australian Brain Bee Challenge - Registration for 2013 now open
The Australian Brain Bee Challenge (ABBC) is a neuroscience competition that promotes and encourages students to learn about their brain, neuroscience and science research as a career. It is open to all students in Year 10 in 2013. Teachers can register as many or as few of their students as they choose. Round 1 will be held online during Brain Awareness Week- March 11-15, 2013 and the week following March 18-22, 2013.
The Round 1 Questions are from the free, downloadable book- Neuroscience: Science of the Brain. An Introduction for Young Students by The British Neuroscience Association (BNA) and European Dana Alliance for the Brain (EDAB)

Up to 150 students that complete Round 1 will be invited to attend Round 2-a State/Territory Final at a university in their capital city. Students can win great prizes including a trip overseas to the International Brain Bee, while schools can win prizes including a state-of-the-art Zeiss microscope for their science laboratory.

The ABBC is a neuroscience outreach program administered by the Queensland Brain Institute, University of Queensland.
