we might be missing something worthwhile with this edulist. Twitter is alive
with good networking and resource sharing and it seems a shame that those not
using Twitter are missing so much good stuff there. Maybe mailing lists
are a bit too old school these days, but some people do still use them and I
think they have some benefits over Twitter (such as the ability to archive stuff
we want to keep, although there are workarounds for
Twitter).</SPAN></FONT></DIV>

Edulist is alive and well. There is a core of users that really keep it updated
with useful content and discussion - I would love the see the English list be

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2><SPAN class=334280501-28072010>The trouble is time,
of course, but aside from that I think it might also be due to the fact that
most of us probably teach in relatively large teams, so we do all of our
troubleshooting and 'brains-trust'-ing with them. By contrast, VCE IT seems to
be taught by lone IT teachers, sometimes with little formal IT education which
means the list becomes a lifeline!</SPAN></FONT></DIV>

consider it a way to network for the sake of meeting others, sharing our woes
and stories of hope, and generally see it as a recreational/recuperative tool
rather than another duty on our unmanageable to-do lists.</SPAN></FONT></DIV>
