The new draft Australian Curriculum makes the role of literacy learning more explicit than ever before, both in subject English and across the curriculum. Yet many secondary teachers still feel ill-equipped to support their students in the literacy demands of the English curriculum.

VATE and the University of Melbourne are jointly running a program that will enable English teachers and literacy coordinators to support the literacy needs of diverse groups of students. The ‘mini-method’ will commence on 3 August 2010 and enrolments are now open. You will find full details on the VATE website www.vate.org.au where bookings can also be made.
regards to all
