<DIV>I'm a huge fan of Michelle de Kretser's <EM>The Hamilton Case</EM>. It doesn't have long to live on the booklist and it's only really Australian because its author is (the novel is set in Sri Lanka), but it's a wonderful text and has been very successful in the classroom.</DIV>
