Using technology to locate expert VELS pd for teachers employing
technology, one finds two 'official' Vic teacher-groups specializing
in info-tech, then looks for the current Vic teacher VELS pd details.

Fair enough? So take a peek at the calendars for upcoming pd events:
www.ictev.vic.edu.au/event/index.asp & www.vitta.org.au/calendar/

The result? For Victoria .. one group, for one day, somewhere yet to
be announced. VELS is curriculum-core, and rather more important
than passing mentions at the Excell (or whatever) workshops listed.

So imho, it's a shame the main person visible in the local 'electronic'
ed community regarding VELS pd, Paula Christophersen, might not
appear to be getting the ed support that she, and VELS, well deserve.

Maybe people are drinking coffee and thinking really hard about vital,
& affordable VELS pd, however technology doesn't demonstrate that.

At the very least, the student-tech-abilities that VELS requires are not
being demonstrated by the edu system requiring them. A bit sad really.
