for the excellent sources of online learning content that already exist…<br>

..the Learning Registry is an open source technical system designed to<br>
facilitate the exchange of data behind the scenes, and an open community<br>
of resource creators, publishers, curators, and consumers who are<br>
collaborating to broadly share resources, as well as information about<br>
how those resources are used by educators in diverse learning<br>
environments across the Web.<br>

Learning Registry Launch @ SETDA 2011 Leadership Summit<br>

We had a great launch event for the Learning Registry open community and<br>
open technology on November 7, 2011 at the State Educational Technology<br>
Directors Association (SETDA)'s 2011 Leadership Summit. Thanks again to<br>
everyone who participated.<br>

Speakers at the event included: Arne Duncan (U.S. Secretary of<br>
Education), Aneesh Chopra (U.S. Chief Technology Officer), Dr. Laura<br>
Junor (Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Readiness), Richard<br>
Culatta (Education Fellow, Office of U.S. Senator Patty Murray), and<br>
Steve Midgley (Deputy Director, Office of Educational Technology, U.S.<br>
Department of Education)..<br>
