<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";
color:#1F497D'>Thank you for your suggestion of having a work space per
teacher. However, I don’t think it would not work in the average
secondary school where all curriculum areas from English to Food Technology
want access to ICT resources. Secondly, I would say that I work with a
majority of very professional teachers. It is unfortunate that probably only 2%
do not <b><i>always</i></b> follow procedures. I would imagine this would be
the situation at most schools where all sorts of communal resources are used. I
don’t think that I am stating anything out of the ordinary. My school
would not be an isolated case. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";

are added into the mix of an average school day and this makes the adherence
and understanding of school protocols difficult. How much information does an
emergency teacher need to be given (and can take in) with only a 15
minute briefing at the beginning of the school day by a school administrator?<o:p></o:p></span></p>

have dealt with disregard of work space is to place some teacher in
charge of that space. I enjoy owning the space to add materials and the
ownership..... makes me feel proud when I have new parents walk thoughts
and they go WOW. It also has the desired effect of ‘visiting’
teachers...YOU MUCK WITH MY SPACE and you pays the embarrassing
consequences... use
your imagination here and be creative. I believe all classrooms and Labs should
be owned by a teacher. Its’ their own individualised work space, and it
can become slightly competitive to see who has the best looking work area. If
it cost the school money for a teacher to look after a computer lab...so be
it....they are not cheap and one person cant have the authority with v4 or more

faculty and (fingers crossed!) eventually permiates throughout the
school. A few successes and a ripple turns into a wave.</span></span><span

Hi Litsa,<br>
<br>
It sounds like you have a truly integrated team working very well
together rather than pushing the elearning person out the front to do it all. I
think that is the key and the balance sounds spot on at your school. It was
presumptuous of me to assume otherwise .. sorry ...:))<br>
Thanks again for sharing the job description.<br>
I do have a question about the journey from the inception of the elearning job
to the present. Was it necessary to deconstruct and reconstruct the curriculum
in each area or was it a stepwise refinement process to move towards the
embedding of learning technologies ?<span class=apple-converted-space> </span><br>
<br>
Thanks again<br>

What<span class=apple-converted-space> </span>do
e-learning coordinators do ?<br>
<br>
<br>
Hi everyone,<span
class=apple-converted-space> </span><br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Sorry for any cross posts and being
off topic perhaps, but:<span class=apple-converted-space> </span><br>
<br>
My school is creating a new position
for an "e-learning coordinator" for next year.<span
class=apple-converted-space> </span><br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Just out of interest, what do
existing e-learning coordinators do in other schools ?<span
class=apple-converted-space> </span><br>
<br>
Run the moodle, and school website,
organize ICT PD for staff on podcasting, vodcasting, and other things, Review
software and technology, formulate strategic plans, team-teach helping teachers
out with software and technology, and ??????<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Thanks,<span
