This is a great technology and eLearning project .. easy to manage and participate. I met Marg on the ACCE sponsored study tour and she is really keen to see a Victorian school step up and join the rest of Australia in this easy to hold activity (1K blessings and thank you's to my school and VITTA for jointly sponsoring my trip to NECC2008)

What do you say folks? We have the wind and the technology to go with it. All we need are some takers :-)

Regards Roland

I just wanted to draw your attention to the oz-Teachernet Land Yachts project which has just begun for 2008. It is a science-technology-ICT project which has won a Highly Commended award from ISTE as an innovative telecommunications project.

Besides this, it is fun! In 2007, we had almost 500 children across Australia involved and as we begin the 2008 iteration (which runs until November 5), we have 13 schools from Queensland, NT, NSW, WA, Tas, and SA taking part. I am currently in Norway where we are running a similar project with children in 5 schools.
