VITTA is pleased to invite applications from VITTA members for participation in a free ICT industry bus tour during ICT Week 2010. 

The ICT Week Industry Bus Tour, to be held on Friday July 30, will see 40 ICT and Careers teachers from around the state conduct site visits at several locations throughout Melbourne. Each location will provide a different insight into the ICT industry in order to provide an insight to teachers into the diversity of the ICT industry and for participants to inform students of real world opportunities. Come along and explore five distinctly different organizations servicing the ICT industry. The day will include hands on activities, one-on-one interaction with ICT industry professionals, networking opportunities. Morning tea and lunch is provided. 

Following is an outline of the tour schedule: 

8:00 am Meet at the VITTA Office 
9:00 am Site Visit: NICTA Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Centre of Excellence at the University of Melbourne 
11:00 am Site Visit: AstroTour at Swinburne University Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing 
12:45 pm Lunch at Monash University Caulfield 
1:00 pm Site Visit: Computer Game Session and Monash University Computing Museum Tour 
3:00 pm Site Visit: Screenworlds @ ACMI 
4:15 pm Site Visit: Signal Creative Arts Centre for young people 
5:30 pm Return to VITTA Office 

The day will not only be a fun introduction to possibilities in the ICT industry, but also a great way to network with colleagues and industry representatives.
