<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-US">We have a 100W laser from Prytec, 900x600 bed, though now the same laser from them is 1000x700 I believe.<br>

$20K, delivered installed and training, with all the bits and bobs. Though, we plumbed our own air compressor and extraction for it which I do consider pretty essential. The delivered air compressor (for air blower) and extraction (for smoke removal) were
both a bit noisy and yet underpowered for my liking. <br>
<br>
Easily cuts up to 20mm acrylic, and have gotten through 20mm pine at its upper extremes, much happier at about 12mm acrylic and 12-15mm solid timber/ply.<br>
<br>
At well less than half the expentidure of a less powerful, smaller capacity trotec/epilog I’m satisfied, but I’m also happier to “tinker” than most – it’s less plug and play than a Trotec would be, due to the software interfaces and drivers. It’s a 1980’s
Hilux vs a range rover kinda deal.<br>
<br>
The prytec (and many RECI lasers) use a Chinese chipset controller that is a bit fussier to print to (having more steps, and mandated applications) than the Trotec/Epilog laser print utilities, which are built around a metal pulse-laser and software print drivers
that are a bit more universal and user-friendly.<br>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-US">I would say it took me about 6 months to get a solid grip on my machine, but now I can use it to pretty much do whatever I like, probably as effectively as I would on a Trotec machine.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
