Travelling for work purposes, where that work cannot be completed remotely, is completely within the rules and has
<b><i>no limitations on distance.</i> However</b> you would need to have a permit stating the need for the work to be conducted at school (direct supervision of practical activities), and your school would need to corroborate and control that – as would the
DHHS and VCAA and DEECD, which I don’t see happening yet, or maybe at all.<br clear="none">

In the end though, travel for work is exempt, but only for essential work that cannot be conducted from home. It’s not illegal to drive to school.</p>

<p class="yiv5643048906MsoNormal">Hi Liz, it’s hard to see how the coming weeks will plan out. Maybe yr 12 students doing prac subjects as ours will be allowed to go in for an afternoon once a week for production. Who knows at this stage. I know that most of my students
don’t have sewing machines etc at home so production will come to a halt. Just as we were getting in to it! So this week and next its writing up about tools and equipment, risk assessment tables and SAC no. 3. As for yr 11 ……………………………….
