We have MakerBots at our school
They are sturdy and are a good 3D printer . Yes they are on the pricey side but we have never had a problem with them.
You can download the software from the MakerBot website to prep and print your models Also you need to take into account how many classes will be using them In my experience 1 printer is not enough We started with 3 a few years ago, we currently have 8 with
a view to buy more for primary campus We have great service from where we purchased them from with parts and filament etc are easy to source and buy

What ever printer you buy you need to make sure there is after sales help, parts and materials are ready available to purchase

I hope this helps
If you have anymore questions don’t hesitate to ask
> Hi,
> I work in a school that is considering buying 3D printers.
> Some of the staff saw a presentation from a company known as Me3D.
> The STEM co-ordinator along with 2 IT teachers keen to buy these as they are fully supported, but I was a bit concerned at the price, the fact that the software to print is cloud-based, and we have as a school only looked at this printer.
>
> Having expressed this concern I have been given a week to come up with more data. So I was wondering if anyone at DATTA had looked into what most secondary schools are using and why.
>
> Do any of you have advice we could pass on? Thanks,
