<div>It does cover the requirements as food technology is one of the contexts in the design technology curriculum area.</div>

<div>As the Victorian Curriculum is just out I don't think food tech will disappear soon.</div>

<div>Could be worse, your school could also do the same with art and pair it with drama and music.</div>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-size:12.8px"><span lang="EN-AU" style="color:rgb(31,73,125)">My school has decided to modify the Year 8 Curriculum for 2018 so that all Year 8 classes will have 2 x sessions Art and 2 x sessions of Food tech per year. This means
that they will no longer have the other 2 x sessions of Technology Materials.</span><span lang="EN-AU"><u></u><u></u></span></p>

are two of the four contexts studied. When they considered mapping out Year 7 and 8 Technologies studies for 2018+ they say students will, over the course of two years, study materials and technology specialisations and food specialisations obviously they
are looking at food and materials being one and the same thing (technology)</span><br>
