I know that this information would be really useful in my school situation to see how our offering compares with what happens in other schools and to see if there are different ways of approaching both core and elective programs.</div><div class="">DATTA Vic has just released a survey that asks teachers about the Technology programs offered in their schools, mainly in Years 7-10. It will give us a chance to get a general snapshot, as well as some information about different approaches to Technology teaching organisation and subjects. Then the next semester the same in Food and Fabrics.<br class="">Year 8 - 3, 70 minute periods per fortnight for Design Technology (Wood, ,Metal, Plastics & CAD) for 1 semester. Then the next semester the same in Food.<br class="">Years 7 and 8 are compulsory but from Year 9 onwards it is an elective subject.<br class=""><br class="">I am not sure if this is the norm or if other schools have a different set up.
