I am a Woodwork teacher that has also
been extremely dissapointed for my students. One in particular put
his heart and soul into his SAT only to find two pages in a 100
page folio not fitting the criteria due to photos indicating lack
of PPE. I agree this should not have been included but can not
understand for the life of me why the mistakes were not pointed
out and a correction or removal of these faults allowed. When
everything else was up to A+ Standard, isn't this what we want to
see as a teaching and student community? Are we going to go 100%
in the opposite direction from the original intent of Top Designs
and the Design Curriculum and become so pedantic that no student
in the ordinary school will ever be able to meet the criteria?
Many of the students that have pushed themselves to the limits
have never succeeded in school before. Many hope to go on in a
trade representing their skills. What is the future for our
subject if allowances are not made for being human?
