<DIV dir=ltr><FONT face=Arial size=2>I can thoroughly recommend Pro Engineer. This is a free 3D package by PTC the world industry leader in 3D modelling.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV dir=ltr><FONT face=Arial size=2>To obtain the software teachers must complete a 12hr training course at a cost of approx. $300.00. On completion of the course they receive the software discs (schools edition) and each teacher is then able to authorise a site licence for 300 seats.</FONT></DIV>

<P class=MsoNormal>A couple of years ago, we switched from using TriCAD to Solid Edge for our Year 9 CAD elective. It was also being used by senior technology students in subjects such as Wood. Apart from being a much superior program, the licence fee was very attractive. This year we experienced some difficulties as the company has new owners. They want about $6,000 for the licence next year which we can’t afford. Can anyone suggest suitable alternative CAD software which isn’t so expensive?<o:p></o:p></P>
