The exhibition includes approximately 150 recent works by influential designers such as Johannes Erler, Mike Meiré, Joachim Sauter, Erik Spiekmann and Andreas Uebele. The powerful impact of logos, pictograms, typefaces or systems often only becomes apparent when they have been making their mark over for decades: the Deutsche Bank logo designed by Anton Stankowski in 1974, for example, or Otl Aicher’s pictograms – originally designed for the Munich Olympics in 1972, or the DIN typeface that directs drivers on German autobahns.
