Dear colleague

WolframAlpha is a computational knowledge engine. To view examples of the range of data it covers go to:

http://www.wolframalpha.com/examples/

Enter what you want to calculate, or what you want to know about (for example, 'earthquakes yesterday', or 'weather in Seymour Victoria Australia' or 'nutrients in Vegemite' or 'calculate work done'. It gives you access to lots of data, information and data visualisation charts. Give it a try and pass the link on to your students if you think it's useful.
