Thanks Steven,

We are also looking into offering Algorithmics at Knox, but it didn't make the cut for 2015!

As I have to get the info for early 2015 in we want to offer it in the future I'm also looking forward to hearing from the experts and will eagerly await more information about this PD. Thank you for keeping us all in the loop.

Cheers

Trav

Steven,

Welcome back! I trust you enjoyed your leave.

Thank you for the reminder about the PD days in December. Can you let me know if there will be any cost associated with these PDs? We need to know this information as part of our internal application process.

Just to update you, DECV have included Algorithmics in our 2015 Enrolment Handbook. My primary curriculum development task for the remainder of this year will be on Algorithmics. We have three teachers currently interested in both planning and possibly teaching the units. Leo Keith currently teaches software development at DECV. This is a totally online course so Leo is well placed to suggest ways we can offer this curriculum. Natalia Terikhova and I both currently teach Specialist Maths. Natalia has industrial experience in this area so she is keen to be involved.

Can you let me know the status of the online resource that you demonstrated at the Algorithmics launch on 20 June? For planning purposes, we are keen to know how much of the Algorithmics course this resource will cover. I understand that this resource may be a work in progress but we would still be interested in viewing any material that is available.

I know we will all appreciate receiving the Algorithmics Study Design after the 27 August Board meeting, assuming it gets the green light.

Regards,
Neale Woods
